Fiona Stuart
Fiona has been teaching music for over 25 years and currently works at a local secondary school where she has been Principal Teacher of Music since 2004.
In her capacity as Principal Teacher she is responsible for the music education of S1-S6, writing courses for all stages ensuring the department meets the needs of every pupil. She also monitors the learning and teaching of Music and prepares senior pupils for SQA exams.
Fiona is an experienced singing tutor and has taught vocal skills from P1 to Advanced Higher and beyond, preparing her students for university/college including musical theatre school auditions for The Dance School of Scotland and Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
Fiona has also taught Piano & Voice privately from beginner to Diploma level. She also has worked for the BBC, recording music for children’s educational programmes.
Musical theatre is her passion and she has produced and musically directed many shows/pantomimes for her school as well as being involved with local amateur companies as Musical Director. Most recently she was Musical Director for Inverness Opera’s production of ‘Calamity Jane’ and is currently working with Starlight Musical Theatre as Musical Director of ‘Oliver’.
