Simon Hunter

Simon is the force behind 'Simon Says Dance' in Edinburgh and is the company founder and owner, bringing fun, happiness and performance to every aspect of SSD.

Performing is something that Simon has NEVER shied away from - he has ALWAYS loved the limelight. Simon was a member of several youth theatre companies including LYAMC and Edinburgh Gang Show whilst growing up. After finishing high-school, Simon went on to gain a BA in Advertising, Communication and Public Relations at Edinburgh Napier University but was intrigued to find out what it would be like working in the world of Performing Arts.

In 2010 Simon auditioned for a Full-time Advanced Course in Musical Theatre and was successfully awarded the 'Ross Baker Scholarship'. During his studies, Simon realised that the Musical Theatre side of the industry was not for him and it was quickly established upon graduating that dancing was the route forward, sparking the inspiration for Simon Says Dance.

From time to time, Simon likes to go back to his performing roots and has featured in the Prestonfield Christmas Show, 2 seasons in Dunfermline as part of the Alhambra Theatre Panto Cast and is often featured as the part of 'Chuck The Cowboy' in BabyBallet shows all over Scotland.
